Large spreading tree renown for its outstandingly beautiful timber, may produce nuts after many years but not as reliable as grafted varieities. Does well on fertile soils including clay soils. This will become a large tree after 20 years will need 8-10m spacing.some trees wont do well in its shade, particulary Apple trees will suffer if they are under the canopy of this tree.
