Description
Spindle is one of less known native trees, its grow in the wild of nestled discretely in hedgerows, showing itself in autumn with a its bright firey leaves and exquistite pink and orange berries. Upright slow growing tree that was used for spindles in spinning wheels.
Site: Tolerates inland exposure
Soil: Does well on limestone and mineral soils, tolerates some damp
Position: Full sun, partial shade
Hardiness: Fully hardy
