Description
Early Prolific lives up to its name, the fruit is small to medium-sized, blue-black with a bluish bloom; the flesh is golden, juicy, and firm, with a free stone and tart, damson-like flavour. Ideal for cooking and jam but can be eaten as a dessert plum when fully ripe. The tree is compact and spreading with a slightly pendulous habit and slender branches; a heavy cropper ,will benefit form thinning of fruit. It can tolerate some shade. Like all Plums best to prune in may to avoid silver leaf disease.
