Description
Very popular flavour, sweet eating apple. Performs best in a good sunny location. Fruit are scab resistant. Reliable cropping tree. First popular in Derry in the early 1800s. Later became a significant commercial crop in the Armagh area.Also known as May Bloom. The fruit is medium-sized and round, with one side slightly flattened, yellow-green with an orange-red blush on one side; the flesh is crisp, white, juicy, sweet and well flavoured. Reliable, healthy tree with lovely pink blossom. Good pollinator.
