Description
Ben Tirran is a late Blackcurrant that is very productive. Very good disease resistance especially to mildew. This variety orginates from Scotland where they are famous for ripening in the rain.
Very easy to grow the main problem is protecting them from the birds.
Nets or cages work well, also if you plant close to the house this can deter them somewhat. We recommend 1.5-1.8m spacing between plants.
