Description
A small, very early, desert apple with shiny, pale green skin flushed with red, and fairly firm, cream flesh with a well-balanced, aromatic flavour best eaten straight off the tree because like most early apples does not keep well. A vigorous, tip-bearing tree producing heavy crops in late summer.Irish hertige variety with origins from Sligo. Slow to produce fruit but produces good crops in time. It was grown widely in Ireand and Britian in the past due to its outstanding flavour.
