Description

Winston is a late apple suitable for all areas, and is an excellent garden tree. The fruit is small to medium-sized, yellowish-green, flushed and streaked red. The flesh is light cream, crisp and juicy; the taste eaten from the tree is quite sharp, but it sweetens after a couple of weeks in store, becoming well balanced and reminiscent of its parent, Cox’s Orange Pippin. Very good keeper – will store until April in ideal conditions. Compact, healthy tree, spur-bearer, very reliable and easy to grow. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
