Description
Green Chisel is an Irish heritage eating apple. An old apple variety well known in North West Tyrone and Donegal. A medium-sized apple it has smooth, greenish-yellow skin with a few red streaks; the flesh is white, crisp and fairly juicy, with a hint of lemon flavour. A very healthy, vigorous tree. The fruit is particularly clean and scab-resistant, and can be picked from late August/mid September depending on the year and will keep til October
Pollination Group 3 (pollinates with Groups 2, 3 and 4).
