Elder

Description

Elder is a well known tree, fast growing, it flowers abundantly in June giving great quantiies of creamy white clusters of flowers, that make fine herbal teas and elderflower champagne. In late sumer/early autumn they produce large quantities of small black berries used in country wine making and preserves. Very important wildlife tree for many birds and insects, well loved by the bees.
